Area 69

  • DemoUSA, Inc. was contracted to demolish over 85,000 sq. Ft. Of soundwall as well as demolish 480 feet of WMATA barrier wall and its foundation – as well as demolish an interior retaining wall separating the sound wall from the residential neighborhood. While performing this job there was a tremendous amount of water influx which DemoUSA, Inc. was responsible for ridding the site of this influx while installing E & S control measures and inlet protection.

Sully Road Community Church Center – Intersection of Route 66 and 29, Herndon, Va.

  • One of the most notable jobs on the I-66 project was the demolition of a 3-story community center. Prior to the demolition of this project, DemoUSA, Inc. removed over 16,000 sq. ft. of asbestos vinyl tile, AMC mastic tape, and hundreds of feet of AMC window glazing. Furthermore, DemoUSA, Inc. collected and disposed of over 480 fluorescent bulbs, 114-each PCB capacitors, and 10 thermostats – all which was deemed a universal waste and handled, transported, and disposed of in accordance with all USEPA, VADEQ, and USDOT regulations. DemoUSA, Inc. excavated an UST (underground storage tank). This tank had remaining fluid in it – hydrocarbon which utilizing DemoUSA, Inc.’s vacuum tanker wagon sucked out the remaining liquid, extracted the tank itself, and disposed of it. DemoUSA, Inc. then conducted the composite post-excavation sampling, to ensure that the remaining was not contaminated – which it was not. The demolition of this structure generated over 1800 lbs. Of CMU, 90,000 lbs. Of brick, 180,000 lbs. Of CMD, and 44,000 lbs. Of crushed concrete. Additional information is available upon request.

This strip-out consisted of completely gutting the entire interior of the building – thousands of square feet. This demolition effecting industrial strip-out included the pipes and an abundance of both data and electrical wires. Furthermore, we created beam pocket openings to support jacks because the roof was being raised. We installed beam pocket openings lintels to support the installation of new garage doors. Additional information on the extensive work performed for Tesla is available upon request.
